About the Founder

Hi, I'm Cynthia Luo. I started this service to solve a problem I lived through firsthand, and I keep it as a lean part-time project so I can stay close to the properties and the people using them.

Why I Started This

When I first moved to San Francisco, I spent weeks fighting the city's housing market. As a newcomer — no local credit history, no rental references, competing against dozens of applicants for every listing — I quickly learned that finding an affordable place to live was one of the hardest parts of starting a new chapter here.

I'd previously managed housing initiatives for my own community, so I understood both the demand side (people needing flexible, affordable housing) and the supply side (hotels sitting empty on nightly inventory that could easily support monthly guests). I reached out directly to hotel operators in the city and negotiated group-rate monthly packages — rates that individual travelers never see because hotels don't typically market them.

Today, I keep a small set of monthly housing partnerships active near Union Square, all within a short walk of Powell Street BART. I personally review each request before confirming a booking or moving forward with a lease.

Because this is a part-time project, I keep the setup intentionally simple: the lease is handled through the hotel, payments come through me directly, and I have not set up a separate LLC for this project. If you would like extra reassurance, the easiest next step is to schedule a tour and confirm the partnership with the hotel staff. If you cannot tour in person, you can also call the front desk or message me directly, and I can share past tenant records and feedback on request.

What I Believe

  • Housing shouldn't be a barrier. Moving to a new city is hard enough without your landlord search becoming a full-time job. A month-to-month hotel stay gives you time to explore neighborhoods and commit to a lease only when you're ready.
  • Transparency is non-negotiable. No hidden fees, no surprise charges. Your deposit is returned in full on move-out. What you see on this site is exactly what you pay.
  • Affordable and safe can coexist. These properties are professionally managed, cleaned daily, and supported by active front desk staff.

Who Stays Here

Most of my guests fall into a few categories:

  • New grads starting jobs in SF
  • Remote workers needing a city base
  • Digital nomads between leases
  • People bridging from one apartment to another
  • Start-up employees on short project stints
  • International visitors on extended stays
  • Travel nurses and healthcare workers
  • Journalists, artists, and creatives on assignment
